About Us
Sarah Holland has been teaching private piano lessons for 32 years to students ages 5 to 72. After starting lessons at 6 years old, she went on to obtain her Bachelor of Music in piano pedagogy & accompanying from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. She was the pianist in Jubilation Brass, a touring group of students and alumni, performing all across the United States as well as England, Scotland, and Wales and releasing several recordings. Following graduation, she taught pre-college music classes at Howard Payne, including music theory and history as well as private lessons, and accompanied vocal & instrumental majors. In 1999, she moved to Inola, Oklahoma, where she taught adult group lessons at a music store in Eastland Mall and taught private piano lessons at Eastwood Music Conservatory. Slowly, she began adding students to her roster in Inola and has been successfully running her own studio for 25 years. She has been a church pianist for 30 years and currently plays at New Life Baptist Church in Claremore. Sarah has extensive experience in teaching different ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. She uses a variety of teaching techniques to make lessons enjoyable and effective, with helping students understand music theory as a basis to their learning.

Jim Loyd is a longtime Inola resident. He started playing the drums at age 8 and has been playing ever since. He studied guitar with Dick Gordon Sr. (a famous Tulsa teacher for 60 years who also taught Garth Brooks), Mike Bruce (Bob Seger Band), Danny McBride (Brooks & Dunn), and our very own Darrell Magee of Inola. Jim has taught music for over 30 years, including guitar, bass, drums and voice. He is very active in performing in the area as well. He has played for the Inola Senior Citizens’ Dance for the past 17 years, at the Nut House in Verdigris for 8 years, and recently started playing with a group led by Terry Day at the Cowboy Church. In the ‘70s, he even opened for Van Halen!
Jim Loyd
Justin Martin is a former student of Sarah Holland who has now been teaching for 5 years. He began lessons at 6 years old, where he found himself in the same books used today for teaching students! After passing the final level in the Alfred book series, Sarah began to teach college-level theory, and it became clear that he excelled in teaching others what he has learned. He would go on to join the Inola High School Choir and use his ability to teach and understand music theory to elevate himself to section leader. He would then join multiple All-State and All-District Honor Choirs. He would also find joy in playing piano for his youth band and youth choir, which led worship for his church and other churches in the area. After High School, his love for music blossomed into a love for teaching. For the past 5 years, he has grown his family and has met with many families in the community, sharing his love for music. You can now find him teaching, serving on the worship team at his church, First Baptist Inola, and even using his knowledge of technology to help him be a better teacher and musician. Justin looks to teach with one goal in mind: to give every student the knowledge, the love, and the ability to be their own teacher someday, the same gift Sarah gave him.
